Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital, where our company carries out the Genetics Laboratory services and plays an active role in the Central Laboratory processes, has been opened to patients. Carried out by the Ministry of Health with the Public Private Partnership model Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital Project is the 3rd largest health investment project in Turkey, serving Istanbul and its surrounding cities. The project, with a capacity to serve 23,600 patients was completed in 2020. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was a significant participant in the opening ceremony. Health Minister Fahrettin Koca made statements during the opening ceremony, which was held in accordance with the social distance rules. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was also an attendee in the ceremony via videoconference. The complex is not just a hospital but a hospital- city consisting of 8 hospitals in its scope, each of which is specialized in its field with a total of 2 thousand 682 beds and 426 intensive care units. With the capacity to serve 35,000 patients on daily basis, there are 725 patient examination rooms, 90 fully equipped operating rooms, 28 delivery rooms, and 16 inpatient burn units. The complex has the distinction of being the world’s largest seismic isolator building with 2,800 seismic isolators. Even in the event of an earthquake, surgeries and services are built to be able to carried out uninterrupted. Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital consists of the Main Hospital with capacity of 2,354 beds, a Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital with a capacity of 200 beds, and a Psychiatric Hospital with a capacity of 128 beds. While the main hospital consists of 6 blocks built around a common core structure, it contains the following units:

  • Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital with 200 beds
